Games - Only for Xbox Game Consoles
A huge
array of exciting new games have been released for Microsoft's
new game console the Xbox. Most of the games have been specifically
produced for the Xbox console itself, guaranteeing a unique
gaming experience. These new games fully take advantage of
the Xbox console's speed and superb graphics capabilities.
Offering real interactive play along with a vast array of
add-on peripherals makes them truly amazing.
There
are Xbox games for every taste from action and adventure
to role playing and simulation. For adult buyers, there's
Project Gotham Racing, a futuristic car racing game. Taking
place in the downtown streets of over 200 cities, like New
York and London, it offers enough variety to keep the most
devoted gamer playing for days. In fact the scenes are so
realistic they were said to be perfect recreations of the
buildings and streets in the chosen cities. The video animation
is amazing. Rounding corners is smooth and sliding at high
speed appears real. You can even see light reflecting off
the ground and on the cars paint. The audio is more realistic
too.
Project
Gotham Racing Allows up to four players to drive against
each other and your choice of 25 different cars and 100
driving challenges. You'll have a different race each time
with realistic night and day driving conditions with changing
weather. What a great game! Project Gotham Racing is produced
by Bizarre Creations, the same company that produced Metropolis
Street Racer for Sega Corp.

Drive Off Road - Wide Open
This game
lets you drive your choice of 50 classic off road trucks through
tough terrain like the badlands and wide open wilderness.
It has some exciting scenery and challenges that the street
racing games can't offer. Try driving a Hummer through awesome
hills, forbidden ranges and sudden obstacles in Hawaii or
Utah while listening to original high quality sound tracks.
You'll need some quick reactions to stay on track with this
new game.
Note:
For the racing games, you might want to check out the Mad
Catz MC2 Racing Wheel which sells for about $60. It's the
officially licensed steering wheel for the Xbox.

Immersive
and Interactive - Xbox Games Get Physical
The
most exciting feature of Xbox games is the use of sturdy
physical peripheral devices which allow you to stand on
and participate more completely in the game.
Amped
Freestyle Snowboarding, for example, is one game that can
use the digital freestyler boards. This game really epitomizes
how far home video gaming has come and where it is going.
It's fully immersive and interactive and a lot of fun. I
don't know about you, but I've always wanted to try snowboarding
and this game lets you really get into the experience of
snowboarding on some of the worlds best mountains. Now you're
really going to want to get that big screen TV you've been
wishing for.
Note:
If
you've ever wanted to try snowboarding or surfing but are
too young to die, you can use the new Freestyler Board from
Thrustmaster which goes for about $80. This is a specially
built ski/skate board that lets you get physically into
the game and experience some mountain snowboarding or big
wave surfing.
You
can still play the game with the standard hand held controller
that comes as part of the Xbox game console package.
